Infoactive Media during the day - launched a website last week… which was fun… - and also freelancing at night as I need the money due to the other reason; purchasing a home. The only free time I get is weekends now, and they’ve been busy them selves. Gaming is becoming a forigen concept remarkably fast, but watching the girlie kick ass online with Mario Kart Wii is cool - great game by the way!

The girlie and I have got a mortgage through and sorted our insurance; we are waiting for the surveying to go through and just need to sign the deeds. Hopefully we can still move in on the early side of May, but we aren’t holding out. Mind you, we need to move soon seeming as our room with Kerrie’s mum is completely full and we are taking over the third bed room here with all the house stuff!

I think the worse part of this whole moving process is wanting it to be done and get in there to make our own space and set our mark. I got a nice big ass HD TV waiting to be used and I really want to set up my office space ready to use (more on this in a bit). But alas, how these things go is they take forever and want to get up your ass.

We’ve seen the flat 3 times now and each time it seems better and we are more and more happy with it. With both our families having seen it now and loving it, makes you feel better about what you are doing as I can’t quite explain what getting a mortgage is like, but it’s scary when you think about it, but easy to forget (maybe because I haven’t had the worry of having to look at my bank).

I finally got my new car that I’ve needed since a Italian lorry driver decided it would be a good idea to merge lanes on a fecking busy motor-way while I’m still in the lane! I got myself a nice Peugeot 206 Fever, silver, 53 plate. Absolutely love the car and feels awesome to drive, amazing sound system, but I’m going to take it to a dealership to get an auxiliary installed. Chuffed with the fact I bought it for a few hundred under asking price and with no finance for a car that feels new still.

I’ve been mulling over the idea of setting up my own freelance studio from my home (hence the need for an office). Not leaving my job at all (not for a long while yet as I love it), but just a name to go buy when I’m freelancing and a distribution centre on the web for other bits I do. I got a name sorted and will be buying the domain soon and will probably get rid of WolfWeb.co.uk in that case and move it to a new sub-domain on the studio. Will let y’all know when that happens.

If anybody wishes to purchase WolfWeb.co.uk then please contact wolfie[dot]zero[at]gmail[dot]com, and if you can’t work out what to do with my email address then you don’t deserve the domain.

So that’s all from me at the moment; I’m trying to update my Twitter with the latest so that gets pushed here.

As you can see I have two banners on the site, both of those are Google AdSense. I also have links to Amazon.co.uk when ever I talk about particular products. These are there by choice.

My reasoning is somewhat self-indulgent in that I am making money from people coming onto my blog and reading it, and even more when you click on a link to Amazon or the banners. It is not my main purpose to make money but to air my opinions on matters and share things, making money is somewhat a secondary approach to a two approach blog.

I suppose the view point has changed as I have grown and so does the site, and thus my time is more precious in the sense of free time and also now I have bills going out (I’m buying my first home now and also having to save for the girlie’s and I wedding), things need to have a value to throw back at.

This doesn’t mean I am purely benefiting from blogging, but rather a two way thing. What it does mean is that in order to produce something so that people will come to my site, I need unique content that is fresh. I also need to update on a regular basis so that people keep coming back. So rather than just spill crap, the content become more refreshing by an organic means. It also means I can spawn off this and create project sites to benefit from advertising. Mind you, web site creation to me as always been about being different and awesome designs, so to ad advertising it in with this ideology, it will have to look good rather than “OMGzz!! POP-UPzZsz! CLiCK mE PZL” or some piddle and crap like that.

So, my view point in this is that so long as the ads serve a purpose that helps both sides, then it isn’t a problem, and I have made the ads so they work along side the site, not on top. I would never go to certain lengths to put “choice” ads on the site to make more money, but if say a clothing label I like (Hurley, Billabong, Attikus) came along and said they want to advertise through the site then that’s cool as I approve of the clothing and they are some what cool design that I think the audience would like (as I hate to mix the idea of fashion and punk… it works along those lines). I wouldn’t take a Windows ad, but I would allow an Apple ad.

It’s all a reflection on the site and the writer; Google AdSense does it well for me at the moment showing ads based on the page content, and Amazon allows me to give you direct links to product, and I do find the very vast majority of the time that Amazon sells it cheapest (though eBay is good, it can be a proverbial mine-field).

I will look further into how to better serve ads and offer more shop links (hopefully so I can find the cheapest 97.5% of the time) towards more products. For now, click on a link if you would like and I’ll hopefully use the money towards building a new site that I hope will be quite… rock.

  •  Rather than being called “Friday Noise Visual”, I’ve decided to change the name into something that allows a bit of expasion to coverage. So it’s now being called “Full Noise Violation“.
  • With the name change in mind, it won’t have to be Fridays I update now, but any day of the week; though I will try and do Fridays. But on the plus side, it does allow me to update more than once.
  • It was a sort of un-written rule that I will upload studio tracks with studio videos. This is now scrapped for anything that I may concider to be a good represenation of the band/artist and also means I won’t struggle finding the right studio video to show.
  • The focus is still on the song, but less bio will be written about the band, but I shall provide links to the Wiki page so you can read more about them. But I may, or, may not add my own skit on it.
  • Now that we are all informed I shall try and get something up soon… ish. Laters.

Once again, sorry for not blogging for some friggin’ time now, but I’ve been re-thinking the whole blog thing and how I want to do it now that I know amature blogging does infact work.

I’m currently writing an article about what is a Social Punk and why I chose to go down the route of naming what the hell I do. Which means this site may sway towards the whole music and social line; I will keep the whole personal bit going, but my main focus will be on Punk and the social perceptions I percieve thinking as a Social Punk.

FNV is getting a re-worked as well; once again, it’s deciding how to intergrate it into something, which along side the normal blogging and being it’s own “thang”.

Any ways, keep an eye out!

Seems like site went down for well over 24 hours. If you must know, it was a caused by a database crash by my host… so I wasn’t happy!

But it’s back up now and so I can get on with my sadistic little blogging stuff!
