As a fan of Banksy’s art, I often go into Candem market in London, stop by the stall and have to pull myself away to not buy anything (mainly I have no room for it)!Another Banksy picture has recently come up which looks awesome once again

What’s significant about this piece is the little photo that goes with it…

 Banksy at work?

Very much the graffiti looking sort, which is probably what makes him hard to spot out.  But dispite what guys like Peter Gibson (Keep Britain Tidy) say about his art, Banksy is very good and has some awesome talent. Very punk!

The artist who can lend an ear (Telegraph.co.uk)

The Reverse Van Gough, Stelios ArcadiouMany cultures talk with their hands, but the Australian performer Stelios Arcadiou claims he could soon be listening with his arm.

Arcadiou, a philosopher and performance artist known as Stelarc, said a surgeon had implanted a cell-cultivated ear in his arm.

The 61-year-old, who was born in Cyprus, claimed the ear was grown in a laboratory from cells. He said it took him 10 years to find a surgeon willing to graft the ear on to his left forearm. [I wonder why? - Ed.]

Once the ear has developed he says he hopes to get a microphone implanted.

“It is more of a relief at present than an ear but it is still recognisable as an ear,” he said. “The last operation was in September 2006 and it’s only now that I’m about ready for the next step.”

When the surgery is complete and his body has produced the necessary tissue, Arcadiou hopes to have a microphone implanted that will connect with a bluetooth transmitter. “That way you can listen to what my ear is hearing,” he said.

An audience in Newcastle Centre For Life was introduced to his latest project, a “walking head” robot. The six-legged creation is one of the highlights of the Dott 07 design festival. It is programmed to perform a dance when someone enters the room.

Just seems a bit random…
